How it works

From plate to logged, before the food gets cold.

No search box. No database to fight. No guessing your portion from a list of forty near-identical entries. Point the camera, glance at the answer, get back to your meal.

  1. 01

    Take the shot

The camera is the whole app. The upload returns before recognition finishes, so you are never watching a spinner with your arm out over a table.

  2. 02

    Watch it work it out

Every ingredient is matched against a real nutrition database rather than recalled by a model, and the totals are added up in code.

  3. 03

    Fix it in one tap

Wrong portion? Step the serving. Wrong dish? Rename it. The entry updates, and so does the day, the ring and the week behind it.

Your AI nutrition coach

A nutritionist who has already read your week.

Most people roughly know what to do and still get stuck on the small decisions — the dinner out, the day that went sideways, the plateau that makes no sense. CalJoy answers those in seconds, from your own numbers, at whatever hour the question actually turns up.

A nutritionist who has already read your week.

Just ask it

  • Can I still eat pizza tonight?
  • Why did the scale go up when I ate less?
  • I’m eating out — what should I order?
  • Is 40 g of protein at breakfast too much?
  • I missed two days. Have I ruined it?
  • Cheaper way to hit my protein?
  • Answers from your diary, not from the internet
  • Draws the chart it is talking about, inside the reply
  • Says when a week is too short to draw a conclusion from
  • Awake at 11pm, which is when the question usually arrives

Why it works

Know what you ate. Know what to do next.

Precision

Get in shape on numbers you can trust

CalJoy measures every ingredient on your plate precisely — nothing rounded, nothing assumed. It keeps the record for you day after day, and an AI coach turns all of it into what to eat next. Precise measurement, effortless tracking and real coaching in one place, so you get in shape and reach the goal you set instead of wondering how close you are.

Any food, anywhere

Home cooking, street food, or a restaurant plate

A tagine or a bowl of ramen. Your mother’s stew or a supermarket sandwich. Sushi, tacos, biryani, a full breakfast. CalJoy reads what is actually in front of you — there is no cuisine it has not met, and no dish you have to spell out in a search box first.

Progress

Watch the line bend your way

Weight, calories and macros across weeks, drawn from every day you logged. Drag across any chart to read a single day back. Seeing the trend move is what keeps people going long after motivation has worn off.

Exercise

Your training counts too

Connect Apple Health or log a session by hand and what you burn is added back to your day. Burn 646 kcal and CalJoy returns 485 of it — 75 %, because wearables read high. Your target moves with your training instead of running away from you.

Stories

People who stopped guessing and started knowing.

Omar B.UAE
I stopped guessing at lunch. Photograph it, get the number, get on with the day.

84 → 76 kg

Lina H.Morocco
Every other app made me search for “tagine” and gave me a beef stew. This one just knew.
Sara M.Tunisia
The coach told me my protein was low three weeks running. Nothing else had ever noticed a pattern.
Yassine T.Morocco
Three scans a day is genuinely enough. I have never once felt pushed into paying.
Nadia K.Egypt
It adds back part of what I burn, not all of it, and it says why. That is the first honest number I have seen in a tracker.

−6.2 kg

Karim A.Saudi Arabia
Logging used to take ten minutes a day. It takes about forty seconds.
Imane R.Turkey
I asked it in Arabic and it answered in Arabic, properly. My mother uses it now.
Rachid E.Morocco
The weight chart finally goes in one direction and I can see exactly which weeks did it.

−9 kg

Fatima Z.UAE
I wanted a number, not a lecture. It gives me the number and gets out of the way.
Mehdi S.Qatar
Cutting for a show and the macros have to be right. This is the first camera app I trust with them.

Hind O.Algeria
Ramadan was the test. It handled suhoor and iftar without me fighting it.
Tarek N.Jordan
It told me one week was too short to draw a conclusion from. I did not expect honesty from an app.

What changed

A number that moves because you can see it.

Nothing here is a promise about how fast anything happens. These are what the app draws: a starting weight, a finishing one, and every wobble in between left in.

Questions

The ones worth asking first.

How accurate is a photograph, really?

A photo cannot weigh your food, and CalJoy does not pretend otherwise — it identifies what is on the plate and estimates portions, then you correct the serving in a tap if it is out. What it will not do is invent a number: every figure traces to a database row, so an error is a portion you can fix rather than a calorie count with nothing behind it.

Does it work offline?

Your diary, your history and the charts are all readable offline. Recognising a new photo needs a connection, since that is the one part that runs on our servers.

What happens when I hit three scans?

Nothing breaks. You can still log by name or description as much as you like, and the counter resets the next day in your own timezone. The limit is on the camera, not on the app.

Is my food data used to train anything?

No. Your photos and diary are yours. You can export or delete the lot from Settings, and deleting the account removes the images too.

Can it replace a dietitian?

No, and the coach will tell you so. It gives general guidance about food and habits, and it declines medical questions rather than improvising an answer to one.

Your next meal isalready a photograph.

Three scans a day, free, for as long as you want them. Nothing to cancel.
